- The beginning of Intensive English Journey - (23/4/17,Sunday)
A beautiful Sunday. most of the people might be chilling or enjoying their holiday. For me, I decided to make a difference. I would like to share my thought, my feeling and my experience on what I had learnt in my English Writing Skills class.
Before I attend the class, I was a terrible writer and my English was horrible. I thought that writing was a very difficult task for me, in fact I was thinking the class could be suffer to me. However, this Intensive English Program was compulsory for all the PORTMANians to attend. Therefore I took up the challenge to start off my Intensive English journey.
I was having full of expectations on what I can learn and what I will become after the journey. I hope I can remember and apply all the lessons that taught by the lecturer. Because I have a gold fish memory, I will easily forget the things that I was not interested, With that, the journey has began!
During the lecture, I have learnt the concept and process of writing which I never apply this kind of skills in my writing before. To start off a writing, it has five processes that included pre-writing, drafting, revising, editing and publishing. These are the process from nothing and start to brainstorm the idea; draft it on a piece of paper; read and revise it then publish the finalized article. With all this concept and processes, I was able to complete a good writing.
It was not difficult than what I thought, in fact in was quite enjoy during the class due to the lecturer taught us in a very practical way by providing short quiz and activities. The biggest challenge for me is I could not remember so much information at the short period of time.Yet, I had overcome the challenge due to I had brunch of friends with passion to learn with me together.
After the first week of Intensive English journey, I'm able to write a blog with proper English to express my thought and feel. I was fucking surprised that I could write a blog with up to 400 words. It was my first time to achieve this desired result and I would like to give a big thank you note to my dearest lecturer, Ms Thinessha and my favorite adviser, the most handsome guy in PORTMAN College, Mr Gym Chan to help me improve my English skills along the journey.
I hope I'm able to write this kind of fantastic blog every single time and continue to improve my English level. It was fucking excited and awesome that I'm going to end my blog of the week.
I wish all of you have a wonderful Sunday and stay happy all the time!
Regards,
Ginny in the bottle.
